Steam Oxide or Vapo blades.
Steam oxide coating increases wear resistance and helps retain the cutting fluid for longer blade life.
Having a standard hardness of 64 - 65 Rockwell and are used for general purpose cutting of all materials including non-ferrous. Diameters from 200 - 500mm.
HSS Circular Saw Blades.
Titanium nitride has a distinctive gold colour.
This is a very popular PVD coating which increases the surface hardness to 2300 - 2500 (HV 0.05).
This also lowers friction and keeping the saws edge for longer.
Can be used on all materials including stainless steel.
Titanium carbon nitride is a distinctive blue / purple in colour. The main advantage of this PVD coating is the increase in surface hardness 3000 (HV 0.05) and much higher resistance to abrasion in comparison to TIN.
Resulting in a higher resistance to abrasion and heat thus allowing much higher cutting rates.
TiALN is a aluminium and Titanium nitride coating, this lowers the friction coefficient and heat but increasing the surface hardness to 3400HV thus allowing much higher cutting rates.
Used for solid sections & tubes and for metals up to 1100N/mm², mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, bronze, copper & cast iron, on manual & automatic machines.
